They would still technically have the rights to shutdown though, if they could figure out how to run shutdown.exe on their own. You can do that with wake on lan and WSUS. Covered by US Patent. Rick P. Your best bet is to configure your BIOS settings for wake on LAN, then periodically ping those machines you wish to remain running and if they do not respond send them However, if I open windows explorer go to program files, I can manually find the program and launch it.
