To do that right-click on the icon for the Realtek card and go to Properties. It did work, but I had no internet connection. that can "fix" it quicker than restarting (I tend to set it to DHCP(the default) when doing that). That being said, this is no longer a huge issue, but I would still love to know why this has been happening & what, if anything I could do to fix

I'm using an Asus RT-N66U and the MacBook is now absolutely rock solid on 802.11n at 5Ghz.Clearly I can't address every case but I remain convinced that the problem lies with Even stranger is, if i wait long enough ( 5-10 minutes), it magically starts working fine and i can access websites and do stuff normally, sadly its not permanent and only but sometimes it doesnt work...
