i have had everything the same but it has just stopped working. My xbox is connected to a switch,as well as my pc and the network`s ethernet cable runs from the switch to the network wall socket. Go Start, run, type "cmd" enter.type "ipconfig /all"go down till you see "DNS Servers"First one is your primary, next is secondary.Go to your xbox network setting, wired setting, DNS, and enter I restored my factory defaults on the xbox 360, selected detect automatically and I got "IP address" failed message, so, then I went "manual" and I went to ipconfig on my http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/networking/connection-error-solution

First you can not have 2 devices on the same network with the same IP. I tried all the methods u suggested but still no progress, Im using the ethernet cable like I did with my ps3 and that always worked.. This allows the XBox to get all information for IP/DNS/Subnet Mask from the router. I went back on my 360 this afternoon and i cannot connect. I have an ethernet cable running from adapter to XBOX 360. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
