I will check when I am done with Memtest Thanks ProximonJan 30, 2009, 10:25 AM Makes sure it's running at 1.9V.Did you just install Vista? This means a hard coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted /NODEBUG. I hope it's good this time around. The RAM checked out good with MemTest, the DISCS checked out good as well. http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/253121-bsod-fresh-morning-startup.html
Compatibility isn't an all or nothing issue. You have experience I DON'T. Join Forum | Login | Today's Posts | Tutorials | Windows 10 Forum | Windows 8 Forum Welcome to Windows 7 Forums. My computer specs are these: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (SP1 updated) Motherboard: Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Chip: Intel i7 920 2.67GHz RAM: 12 GB (6sticks of 2Gb each) Graphics card: nvidia gtx 285 I started to manually up the voltage of the VVT, reading several forums, but never into the PINK area or even in the RED. choose the option that says "disable automatic restart after system failure" get to the BSOD and you should be able to see the stop error. No PSAs unless relevant to an issue (it must be a comment). Edit: After some tests restarting my system several ways, it seems like there is a problem when I shut down Windows from the start menu. Then it turns off, and when I turn it back on, there is never a second BSOD. https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/2xsjx3/what_would_cause_a_bsod_every_time_i_boot_up_in/ I have Corsair memory modle number TWIN2X4096-6400C5you can find it on Newegghttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184&Tpk=TWIN2X4096-6400C5All I did was stick it in.
I have a printer, office software and security software - no games or anything dramatic. The hard drive is partitioned with a software C Drive, Data B Drive and a Temporary data A Drive; mostly the computer holds very large quantities of spreadsheets and eMails. I think that I only manually set the Voltage of RAM to 1.5 and put everything back to AUTO (as set originally) last week. It checked all RAM, but stopped at the 4th HDD.
And sometimes you'll spend months troubleshooting - only to give up and revert back in order to avoid problems. You have probably seen these kind of problems before. You are awesome man, again I really appreciate all the help you're giving me. I can't do that with a single stick. If I had this PC for personal use (gaming, surfing the internet,...) I'd probably continue searching for a possible solution, but I have it for work (graphis desing, 3D artist) and Still no luck getting the hard drive detected by Seagate.
But I will let it run for a bit longer just incase. this will take you to diagnostics-performance & boot /shut down events,It may or may not give a clue to the problem, but worth a try. permalinkembedsaveparentgive gold[–]thekarmabum 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago(19 children)whats the stop error? We'll see if something else pops out at me when I come at it fresh in the morning.
